Step 1: Open the start menu.

Step 2: Select the Picture at the upper right of the Start menu.

Step 3: Select “Create a password for your account”

Step 4: Enter a password and a password hint. Then choose “Create password”.

All Done! Your password is now set.

Higher resolutions make things look smaller on the screen, but also makes things look clearer and gives you more room to work.

Step 1: Right click on an open area on your desktop. (a place with no icons or windows) and select “Screen resolution”

Step 2: Select the drop down resolution box and choose your desired size.

Notes: It may show you a recommend resolution for your screen. you may also find the recommended resolution from your screens manufacturer.Otherwise you can test the different resolutions until you find one you like.

Step 3: Select “Ok”

Step 4: Select “Keep Changes”

You have now changed your screen resolution!

THESE STEPS MAY DELETE YOUR EXISTING DATA!

Step 1: Start the computer with the installation media.

Step 2: Select Next For English.

Step 3: Select “Install Now”

Step 4: Accept the terms and Select Next.

Step 5: Select Custom.

Step 6: Select the hard drive to install windows on.

Notes: If there are multiple hard drives listed, select the drive large enough for windows. (Over 20GB). You may also select the Drive options to modify the partitions.

Step 7: The Installation will take some time. you may notice the progress at 0% for several minutes.

Step 8: Create a user name and PC name.

Step 9: Password is optional.

Step 10: Enter your Windows product key.

Notes: the product key is generally found on the CD case or provided when you purchased windows. You may also skip this step by pressing Next. you will need to enter a valid product key within a few weeks.

Step 11: Select “use recommended settings”

Step 12: Select the time and date.

Step 13: Select the Home Network.

Step 14: Windows is now installed!

This articles assumes you have already installed the program by Oracle called VirtualBox. you can find the article on installing this software here: Coming Soon.

Step 1: Open The VirtualBox program and select “New”

Step 2: Create a Name and select the windows Type and the “Windows 7″ version.

Step 3: Select the amount of Ram you would like your Virtual Machine to have.

Note: this is the amount of RAM (Memory) that will be given to this virtual machine. For windows 7 you should use at least 2046MB (2GB). Depending on how much RAM your real computer has installed, you want to be careful to note allow to much for the virtual machine. when the virtual machine is running, it will make that amount unavailable on your real computer. We recommend using Half the amount of RAM(memory) you have installed in your real computer. ex. if your computer has 8GB, set this to 4GB (4096MB)

Step 4: Select “Create a virtual hard drive now” then select Create.

Step 5: Select VDI as the hard drive type.

Step 6: Select “Dynamically allocated”

Step 7: Select the Hard Drive for the Virtual Machine. This is the amount of storage it will have. Then Select Create.

Notes: Unlike the RAM. the Hard drive we selected is dynamic. That means it will only use up the space that the windows machine is using. this will automatically grow as you use up more space until you reach the size you set here. This will always take up space, even when the Virtual machine is not running. We recommend 50GB-100GB. windows 7 generally needs at least 20GB.

Step 8: select “start”.

Step 9: Select the Installation Media. If you are using a CD select the CD Drive. Otherwise select the ISO Image File. Then Choose Start.

Once you have selected “Start” it will start the virtual machine. With the installation media you selected.

You may need to adjust your BIOS to allow for Virtualization.

There are many settings including allowing additional CPUs to be used.

There are many ways to reset Cache on Mozilla Firefox browser. This article is meant to provide the most user friend way.

Step 1: Open Mozilla Firefox

Step 2: Click on the Menu Button

Step 3: Click on “History”

Step 4: Click on “Clear Recent History”

Step 5: Select “Everything” 

Step 6: Uncheck all boxes except “Cache”

Step 7: Select “Clear Now”

Step 8: Close all “Firefox Windows”

For step 5 you can specify the time frame you would like to remove the Cached images and files from.

Step 2: Type “snipping Tool” into the search bar in the start menu. Select the “Snipping Tool” program.

Step 1: Open the “Start menu”

Note: `View by` should be set to “small icons” to easily find the windows Update option.

Step 4: Select check for update to show the newest updates

Step 5:Select either the Important or the optional updates available link.

Step 6: Select the optional tab to see if there are any other updates you would like to install.

Step 7: Select any updates you wish to install and press OK.

Step 8: Select “install Updates”

You may need to reboot(restart) your computer for the updates to finish.

If you are unsure what updates to install, you may want to only choose the important ones, but for the most part all updates SHOULD be okay to do.
